About Me

I’m Jon. I built my life around my kids, learned to fix what was broken, and tried to be the kind of father my sons and daughters could count on. In 2015 my youngest, Jordy, was taken from us. The ground dropped out from under me. I wanted payback. God asked for something harder. . . JOY.

Choosing joy did not erase the grief nor the pain, but it did give me purpose. And it kept me showing up for my family. This book and site grew out of that choice, one day at a time. If you are carrying loss, pull up a chair. You are not a problem to fix, you are a person to love.
